Mission and scope of activity

The Agency for the Administration of Sequestered and Confiscated Assets is headed and represented by the Chief Administrator, who reports to the Minister responsible for public order and security. The Agency is tasked with preserving and administering seized assets and also increasing, if possible, the value of these assets.

  The scope of activity of the Agency is:

  •  Receiving and administering seized and confiscated assets in accordance with the legislation in force.
  • Sale or alienation of assets that cannot be used, or those that lose value over time.
  • Registration and preparation of documentation for the administration or alienation of confiscated assets.
  • Cooperation with other institutions for the sale or use of assets for public purposes.
  • Supervision and statistical reporting on asset administration.
