The Agency for the Administration of Sequestered and Confiscated Assets (AAPSK) has transferred a vehicle free of charge to the Municipality of Bulqizë, to be used in the provision of specialized services for children with disabilities in remote areas of this municipality.
The vehicle, part of the fleet of confiscated assets administered by AAPSK, will be put into operation for a social project supported by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, which aims to provide therapies and home care services for children with disabilities.
Present at the vehicle handover ceremony, the Chief Administrator of AAPSK, Ms. Risena Xhaja, thanked the Inter-Institutional Committee for Measures Against Organized Crime for the willingness shown to support this social initiative and emphasized that the institution she leads remains committed to contributing to helping the community and the needy.
The Mayor of Bulqizë Municipality, Ms. Festime Mjeshtri praised AAPSK for the assistance and emphasized that the means of transportation will be very valuable in helping children with disabilities, especially those living in remote areas of the Bulqizë Municipality.
This support for the Bulqizë Municipality will help improve access to services for about 50 children, who are offered direct assistance in the environment where they live, through a team of mobile professionals.
This act of AAPSK is a concrete example of the return of confiscated assets in the function of social welfare and the protection of groups in need, contributing to the construction of a more just and inclusive society.
The vehicle will be used exclusively for social purposes and will bear the logo of AAPSK, the Bulqizë Municipality and the implementing partner, the Joscelyn Foundation.
