The Agency for the Administration of Sequestered and Confiscated Assets (AAPSK) doubles its income from the rental of seized and confiscated properties for the first 3 months of 2025, compared to the same period in 2024.
According to data made public by the Agency, for the first 3 months of the year, income has reached about 50 million lek, compared to 24.4 million lek for the previous year.
In this way, AAPSK continues to maintain the pace of growth in income from good administration, after closing the year 2024 with 159 million lek in income, or 96.2% more than in 2023.
The increase in income has been achieved through increased efficiency and good management, as well as an increase in the number of seized or confiscated properties that have been rented out by the Agency.
The collected revenues, in addition to being used for the functional tasks of the Agency, also go towards compensating crime victims, benefiting the community, as well as providing financial and infrastructural support for law enforcement agencies.
Leasing seized or confiscated assets enables these assets to be used and bring benefits to the community and the state budget.
The AAPSK manages seized and confiscated assets to generate income through leasing or other forms of use by third parties, but without alienating them.
